Mike Dudgeon will never be the loudest in the room. But he stands tall, with a spine of steel, and does the hard work that matters. A resident of Forsyth for over two decades and a Georgia Tech engineer with eight U.S. patents, Mike built several successful companies before getting elected to the Forsyth County School Board and the State House.

On the School Board, Mike fought entrenched bureaucracy, rolled back wasteful spending, and got a woke grading system thrown out of our schools.

In the State House, he showed what it means to stand firm by voting against the largest tax increase in state history even when fellow Republicans pushed for it. He backed Georgia’s toughest illegal immigration law, slashed red tape for teachers, expanded school choice, worked to cut the state income tax in half, and identified millions in pork-barrel spending in the budget, working to eliminate it.

As Policy Director for the Lieutenant Governor, Mike helped shepherd dozens of conservative victories. Among them, championing the Heartbeat Bill, strengthening election integrity, reforming foster care, and eliminating crony tax breaks.

Today, as Chair of the State Charter School Commission, he’s still leading: approving dozens of new charter schools to give parents, not bureaucrats, the power to decide.

To stand tall, you need deep roots. And Mikes are right here in Forsyth. He and his wife Lori have fostered more than 30 children, raised their family in Forsyth, are active at Fountain Church, and built a foundation funding research into depression after the tragic loss of their son. On Friday nights, you’ll find Mike refereeing high school sports as a 6’4” towering reminder that fairness and rules still matter.

Forsyth County doesn’t need the loudest politician in the State Senate. It needs one who doesn’t back down. Mike Dudgeon has the experience, the record, and the spine of steel to stand up to the extremists and liberals working overtime to erode our conservative principles and impose their radical worldview on us.
